I pre-ordered Persona 3, a couple months ago. The launch date delays came as a bit of a disappointment to me, but then again I still own way too many PS2 RPGs that I haven't even opened yet, so I try not to be too concerned.
(I make it a rule not to have too many started-but-never-finished games at any given time)

My recent achievement (within the last few days) was to kill Nemesis in Final Fantasy X. Very time-consuming and unrewarding. I still haven't beat the game, but now I think I'm going to, because the Monster Arena was a huge waste of time.

Hmmm, no.
I never played Persona 1 or 2, and one part of 2 isn't even available out of japan. Since I don'nt know if the story is continuing, and I can't stand to miss something, I won't play it.

Persona 3 is a totally independent story from the rest of the series, so you don't have to worry about missing anything.

Though the style of the game doesn't interest me, it's kind of exciting to see a game do that well.

Yes, I'm trying to hype this game up as much as possible. Their last game, System Shock II, did almost as well, getting 11 separate Game of The Year awards, yet commercially it was a flop. Still, this seems to be doing superbly too and the word of mouth hype seems to be pretty huge. Xbox Live was brought to a stand still last week when the demo was put up so hopefully it'll sell as many copies as it deserves too.

I know it has the buzz, and it has people talking, but we're on internet forums :p We just know these things. Just trying to spread the word. My brother hadn't even heard of it til I showed him the demo. He crapped himself by the way. At a woman rocking in a corner singing 'Beyond the sea' to a revolver.
