I don't think I'll ever be able to choose a favorite song from this album. My opinion on each song changes often. I'm actually really fond of the songs that don't have any votes yet (Benkai Debussy, Identity, Sakana, and Byoushou Public), though I probably wouldn't vote for them either. Ahhh, this is hard. I should actually do my thinking without typing each one of my thoughts. That's why half of my posts are so long. Anyway, the songs I wouldn't vote for (while I still like them a bunch) are

Yokushitsu
Benkai Debussy
Gibusu
Stoicism
Sakana

That's as close as I can get to a vote.

Ehhh, I finally chose Izonshou after listening to it again. I was about to listen to the rest of the tracks just to make sure that this was the one, but I knew that would lead to a long process.. and I wanted to avoid that.

Izonshou, u da lukky 1

Oh my goodness. Shouso Strip is my favorite Shiina Ringo album and as a result, this decision is mind-boggling.

Kyogenshou, Gibusu, Yamini Furu Ame, Tsumi to Batsu, Sakana, Honnou, and Izonshou are all extremely deserving in my opinion...

But that doesn't even mean I think less of the other songs. I love hearing Yokushitsu, Benkai Debussy is awesome, Identity is pretty kickass (but admittedly on a lower tier than the rest), Tsuki Ni Makeinu has grown on me, and Byoushou Public is also a really good song.

The only song I wouldn't mind skipping is Stoicism...i see it as more of a filler track really, like Radiohead's "Fitter Happier" on OK Computer...

In the end though, I voted for Honnou. That song pretty much embodies the young Shiina Ringo I know and love.

My mind is boggled by the fact that Stoicism has a vote let alone two. It's not even a real song, folks. How somebody could vote for that over something like Honnou is beyond my comprehension.

Identity has none. It was the one that got me into this mess.

Stoicism is special. Most Ringo songs are straight out let's put together some instruments and record it kind of song, but Stoicism is the let's fool around with the studio equipment and see what we can get kind of song. There're a lot of very fun rhythmic things going on in the song, like the distorted syncopated beats and the "diminishing breaks" (for lack of better description) in the voice part; all the impulses fit in seamlessly to form a playful, fun and energetic song. I guess I'm in the minority here, but hearing this on SS was a pleasant surprise. I definitely think this is one of her more successful experimentations, and I don't think it's out of character at all.

Same here. Identity has a very special place in my heart. But I had to go for Honnou first. I don't get the lack of votes for it though, don't people like it? I guess like me, they just like other songs more.

Its really great...just not the best on the album. I don't think it means people dislike it.
