It's going to take a bit of digesting, but I'm liking it so far on my second listen.

On track #1: Yep, its Radiohead alright.
EDIT: So i guess its unlikely "Little by Little" is an Oasis cover after all then? =p

I don't think I know how to enjoy an album with less than ten tracks.. :L Hah
But ditto on your statement, Whispermon. Sounds good, but it needs some time to sink it. |

I like it, not a big fan of them, but it's quite enjoyable...

The last half of the album (Lotus Flower through Seperator) is AMAZING. Not to say the first half isn't. It just seems it will take a bit more chewing and gnawing.
I could say "(Any individual track 5-8) is GREAT!" I really like how the album becomes more grounded as it progresses.

Upon repeated listenings (to TKoL) is anyone else finding Little by Little more and more straightforward and catchy (as well as Mr. Magpie?)
I played it and Kid A back to back to some interesting findings. Kid A being the most similar Radiohead album to TKoL (..yes yes, i know, The Eraser. But I...never actually listened to The Eraser) it really magnifies what TKoL seems to be "about." I like the length too. Lots have been complaining that it's too short, and that there must be a part 2. (I'm sure there'll be a second disc to the physical copy.) But I think since the songs aren't very "songey" in a more traditional sense that even Kid A songs were, having a 45-50 minute, 12 track TKoL album would really drag. The King of Limbs comes in and sets a certain mood, an atmosphere, a state of being if you will. All the songs work to do this for the album, ad if it were longer it would be a real chore to get through. Lets pretend you put "Bodysnatchers" and "Spinning Plates" on King of Limbs. Wouldn't these very traditional songs diminish songs like "Bloom" and "Feral." With the way its presented, I think you can really appreciate songs like these whereas I always found it difficult to listen to "Treefingers" sandwiched in between "Disappear Completely" and, of all songs, "Optimistic." TKoL is oddly fun and enjoyable. And the 4-5 day gap between announcement and consumption is something that really needs to be more common. (Could you imagine 3-4 months at least of anticipation only to get these 8 weird songs?)

^ I also like that King of Limbs is so short and sweet, since each track has its own distinct feeling and it makes it more replayable. It's kind of an arbitrary idea these days that albums should be their traditional length. The first half of the album sounds as if it has a Four Tet influence. Bloom is great IMO, and Feral could be a more organic-sounding tip of the hat to Flying Lotus' ... and the World Laughs With You, on which Thom Yorke guested.
The second half is indeed pretty stunning, particularly the surprise string arrangement in Codex, and Give Up The Ghost is one of those tunes that become earworms in a really positive sense. I liked Radiohead without being a "fan" until In Rainbows really clicked with me, but I really like this album as well. (Also: a site to stream the album from) ... Songs from this Korean indie band have a nice mood. Like the album art too.
