shiina's divorce
I have been reading around here and you guys seem very knowledgeable. I asked a question on another forum and no one could answer (only like 5 people max discussing it anyways). So I thought I would ask it here.
Why did shiina get divorced (main question)? What type of man was her husband? Has she been single all the time before and after her relationship with her ex-hubby? And lastly did her divorce affect her writing style (In fact does shiina use her own personal experiences to write, or does she just write about whatever like hikki-chan)? |

Unfortunately, I don't think any of us can tell you why they got divorced. Everything would just be speculation unless there's a direct quote from SR or Yayoshi that I don't know about. I do know that there was an article saying that Yayoshi still lived with her after the divorce. I don't know for how long though.
I've also speculated that Genjitsu wo Warau is about Yayoshi. It just fits.

Due to Japan's strict protection of its showbiz figures (or lack of paparazzi?) most personal issues of artist are not drawn to a distinctive conclusion.
What are known to us: 1.Yayoshi was NOT divorced when he started to hook with Ringo-although he was reported to have lived seperately with his ex-wife for a good time. He then divorced with his ex and married SR. 2.They had a sweet little life at the beginning of their marriage. They were spotted on the street shopping, and seemed pretty in love. 3.Ringo had a tremendous fear for 911 after the incident took place. She had nightmares night after night. This may as well be related to their final divorce. 4.Shiina never writes like Hikki, or i'll never fall in love with her. |

^ He's a terrible guitarist. I'm sure most people know that I can't stand Uki at all, but Yayoshi is even worse. Yayoshi is the definition of generic, dime-a-dozen guitar. Apparently, he's still a producer/arranger.

Wow... I didn't know anything about that. Day after day I see that Shiina is such a very complex person .

I reckon it's just a normal marriage gone wrong thing. They fall in love, had a great time, had a kid, started to drift apart....the works. Although I have to admit it was quite a short marriage....

Her nightmares are now about her son being drafted into war and then she writes songs like Yume no Ato and Tasogare Naki.
