^quality ver of Gibs.
(tho, personally i think its a waste for Izawa. Shiina on piano Maou and I are all for if it means Izawa on guitar) The band needs to cut the gimmicks tho, really. An "acoustic" Gibs is fine, dont see why the box stuff. Ningen is ok, you can hardly hear Uki. Killer Tune is the song I wont forgive for being so horrendous on record, above all Shiina's singing. With that said, She sings it better here. Not good. But better. I just don't think the song is playing to her strengths, in favor of her weaknesses.

Yeah, I love the bokura no ongaku sets, very aesthetically pleasing. The songs were great also. It was a very cool arrangement of gips, toumei ningen was good, and killer tune was also awesome as usual. I liked that they did not chop up killer tune like they had to do in the other performances and played the whole song. Also, Uki seems to be moving a lot more now. Looks like those dates he's been going on breathed some more life into him ^__^.

After watching this, I have come to the conclusion that "old Shiina" would slap the fuck out of polite, "new Shiina".

cuz she was psycho, XD, she was being a bit stupid if you ask me. anyone heard the term ぶりっ子 (burikko)? It is a girl who acts cutesy and annoying in a high pitched voice to kind of get attention from guys. This isn't quite the same but in a similar vein. Anyone seen the video from the amusement park where Ringo is riding around acting all super cutestsy as well? She just looks attention starved more than anything, it has the same effect of going to the mall on a friday night and walking by Hot Topic
whereas in the bokura no ongaku clips she is both intelligent and refined and a very talented senior comedian who she has never met showers her in praise when he barely even knew her before. She seems much more at peace with herself, doesn't need to fake cry... and that video was iffy cuz it was jumpy and cut weird but it sounded like she said "消しちゃうんですか” (keshichaundesuka?) "いくらで買う?” (ikuradekau?) I have no idea if that is correct, probably not....but she looks like she is in an office and the first part as I heard would follow as "your going to get rid of it?" and then the response "how much will you pay for it?" and then later in the restaurant cries of "hidoi" (thats cruel!) while she looks quite annoyed. I'm guessing someone didn't get her way tsk tsk I know she had problems with record execs on her first album regarding the first single and tadashii machi (they hated it, she wanted it to be her single, it was the first song she had ready and when she played it for them they told her it was horrible and she would fail. later in identity she has a line "TADASHII toka MACHIgae toka" which references this, it means "like right and like wrong" but the words are pronounced similar) so maybe they were debating a financial issue and she flipped the lid? Ohhhhh, thanks for the insight ^__^
EDIT: I also do not see what is wrong with her acting so elegant. The videos should be titled "young shiina" and "grown up shiina". Last edited by HEDOfloe : 2007.09.22 at 06:02 PM. |

lol @ that first video, I haven't seen that before
Well Gibs just about owned everything... Toumei Ningen was pretty meh (and I used to love that song), and Killer Tune was better than usual but still crappola. |
