I miss Jihad. Miss a bunch of people. And I am Nu-Mole, arriving six years ago amidst laments that the golden age of EM had already faded upon the departure of essential core constituents.
But being blissfully ignorant of the glorys of the golden age, I was quite content listening to and learning from the people from that era who had not departed. And sharing my excitement and enthusiasm with other now inactive Nu-Molers about, say, discovering Jun Togawa. It seems now that the Nu-Mole era has passed, with my fave friends having last posted long ago, but their are new bright lights in the community, and esteemed veterans who occasionally deign to post. And ringomaster 2.0. And intelligent newcomers who have fresh perspectives worthy of our attention. Shiina's debatably disappointing new album has revitalized this forum, and my hope is that it continues to be a locus of insight about her music, other Japanese music, and the world in general. I came here because I liked Shiina Ringo's music. I stayed because I liked the other people who liked her music. |

Interesting opinions on Pink Floyd.
I think Piper at the gates of dawn is the most fun (and I like See Emily Play a lot too.) |

Maybe ringomaster 2.0 trolled you because you threw innuendos at the master in different threads, and the master wasn't pleased. Maybe the master only likes people who don't beat around the bush. If the master wasn't worthy of any attention, the master wouldn't appear in the center of your lament.

I agree! The best thing about this forum is not talking about Ringo, but finding new artists that other people who like Ringo like, and making connections. Because of this forum, I discovered Togawa Jun, Oomori Seiko, Shibuya-kei, The Grates, Midori/Goto Mariko, Asai Kenichi/Blankey Jet City, Zazen Boys/Number Girl, and way too many more to count!

This came on the radio a few weeks ago and I haven't been able to stop listening to it since. I don't really like her other stuff, I think it's kinda hokey (and the video kinda is too tbh), but Idk I love the way this song flows and her voice sounds here.
