That's pretty backhanded. I think everyone knows that SG isn't this generation's Abbey Road or whatever. It's still a great album.

I don't think they are based on lower expectations necessarily. Keep in mind that they are better able to judge the lyrics at this point in time and a lot of the reviews are writing about how this album shows a side of Ringo that we haven't really seen, like she has been able to embrace the girl inside of her after all these years. it is her first album as a woman for woman in some ways.

also, I feel that rather than compare this album to MM SS and KZK it almost seems like it would fit better in a new trilogy...kind of like comparing new star wars to old star wars...except this album doesn't seem to suck like Phantom Menace did (I don't know, waiting on my copy in the mail to listen)

Well, at least there is a slight hope. In this interview she said that she didn`t intended to do a SG tour, since she considers the EXPO the live of this album, but since there are a lot of requests, she might be put some thought...

Let me explain better. She actually said that she might put some thought on it (live tour for the album), because she is already aware of the requests from the fans.
