Best Tracks of 2007!
Thought that someone ought to finally make this thread, just cause there are always great songs to be found on truly average albums.
Alphabeat - Fascination Asobi Seksu - Thursday/Strings/Nefi+Girly Black Kids - I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend how to Dance with You/Hurricane Jane (What more can anyone say about this band? Best EP of the year. Would be a sin not to hear these songs). The Blow - Fists Up Feist - So Sorry/The Limit to Your Love Jens Lekman - Friday Night at the Drive-in Bingo (Story telling lyricist, great when his lyrics and music connects). The Pipettes - Pull Shapes (I worry for this band, they have a couple of great songs, but the rest of their output seems a bit hacknyed, barely held up by the band's persona). Sally Shapiro - I Know The White Stripes - Rag and Bones The Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Down Boy

I like All I Need too. Definately in my top half of tracks on the album. I think everybody has different favourites, which shows how strong the album is as a whole. House of Cards is probably my choice for weakest track.

Mmmm, I love the guitar in 15 Step. I thought it was weak for a Radiohead opener when I first heard it, but like everything from Radiohead's experimental era, it becomes perfect upon multiple listens.
House of Cards is amazing as well. Quite soothing. And I do enjoy You are All I Need, but it just sounds superficial for Thom Yorke. |

I mean, my favourite radiohead songs are usually the scary, closed-off ones, but it's a lovely change of pace. |

Darn it, every time I read about Radiohead I have to listen to them again for ten hours straight. Last night I stayed up until 4 just watching random Radiohead stuff on Youtube.

Great choices cjhobbies00! I like a lot of those songs.
I'm seeing both Feist and Jens Lekman in a month or so. And Arcade Fire tomorrow night! Yaaaaay! And don't anyone hate on All I Need! That song gives me major chills.. the piano at the end <3 I love that whole album (and yeah, House of Cards is the weakest for me as well). |
