SR/TJ songs that were "paid homage" to in other songs
...I know that's a bit of an odd title. ^^; (Also, hi. I know I haven't been here in a long time. xD)
Basically...have you noticed any SR/TJ songs (or lyrics) that were remixed/used/paid homage to, either by SR/TJ themselves or another artist? (For the record, "Ringo Catalogue" is excluded from this list, due to its obviousness.) Here's my contribution: "Doppelganger": In the first instrumental break (which starts around 1:08), you can hear the introductions to these songs being played: *Honnou *Identity *Mo Okorudo (Kari) ...Also, the initials of these songs spell out "HIM". They do spell out HIM, but that's only going off the romaji titles. The Japanese titles don't spell that out, and I'm pretty sure Ringo wasn't even considering the romaji there.
We were discussing that (the Doppelganger thing) pretty recently in some other thread, can't remember which... |

Would any one consider Shuukyu being a remix/homage to tsumi to batsu? Or chord progressions don't count xD?

Well, ringo catalog is the biggest song of hers like this. So! Ringo loves to do this with songs, doesn't she?

(well...Am I overreacting? To me repeating the same chord progression time after time is such a SHAME for a songwriter. Except for those root genres, like the 12-bar blues.) |
