Lately really into KEYTALK. I'm not sure what sets them apart from other Japanese pop-rock bands, but I kind of like them? Not sure why, but they seem like they'd put on a good show. The rhythm guitarist doesn't have a great voice though...

Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence is worth all the hype and anticipation. It is amazing.

(And I just found her first album 'fun', mainly passed her off as a guilty pleasure btw...)

However, if a passing/somewhat interested person like me finds her new album great, I don't know what the reaction of a big fan of her first album would think of it- it's a lot slower and 'darker'- far less immediate radio hits on it.

It will be interesting to see it's reception.

Oh, and the guitar work here. So great.

Miharu Koshi- Parallelisme

Another YEN artist (well, her most well known works anyway) I've been getting into/have known about but haven't given a fair go to. I love what I'm hearing but I'm scared that if I buy anything it's another HUGE collection to start :-/

This album, Parallelisme, is absolutely awesome, and drips Hosono.

^ I used to really like Hysteric when I was younger but when I found out the guitarist was a serial rapist it kinda ruined it for me.

It's a pity the frogs never found much success afterwards. She reminded me of Yuki.

Hana Sekitori. Just heard of her. Fairly standard pop rock song, but with a powerful voice and lots of emotion. I dig it.
