Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence is worth all the hype and anticipation. It is amazing.
(And I just found her first album 'fun', mainly passed her off as a guilty pleasure btw...) However, if a passing/somewhat interested person like me finds her new album great, I don't know what the reaction of a big fan of her first album would think of it- it's a lot slower and 'darker'- far less immediate radio hits on it. It will be interesting to see it's reception. Oh, and the guitar work here. So great.

Another YEN artist (well, her most well known works anyway) I've been getting into/have known about but haven't given a fair go to. I love what I'm hearing but I'm scared that if I buy anything it's another HUGE collection to start :-/ This album, Parallelisme, is absolutely awesome, and drips Hosono.

^ I used to really like Hysteric when I was younger but when I found out the guitarist was a serial rapist it kinda ruined it for me.
It's a pity the frogs never found much success afterwards. She reminded me of Yuki. |
