I think it was Choobies that said Ida Maria's Fortress Round My Heart had just a couple obvious stand out tracks. I disagree. I think it's chalk-full of old fashioned goodness! One of the best albums this year!

I re-disagree. I listened to the album a couple of times. 3 tracks, maybe, at most.
I am talking about stand out tracks, I'm not saying that the other tracks were terrible, just didn't jump out at me.
She has a great sound, but it's not enough to carry most of those songs.

That's okay. I'm not saying I think this is one for the history books or anything, and sure "I Like You so Much Better..." sticks out above the rest, but I think there are only 3 otherwise un-noteworthy songs that ride off the momentum of the 7 other songs (the 3 being Forgive Me, Morning Light, Queen of the World.) Those 7 remaining tho are all super catchy and strong.

Espescially Stella. The song totally reminds me of when I was a little boy, driving at night with my mom in her old station wagon while she played Todd Rundgren or King Harvest or that kinda 70's rock
