I thought the Arctic Monkeys debut was a little draggy. It had two really great songs, and the rest was kinda been-there-done-that.
CLT: still Ida Maria. Its been non-stop since i d/led it yesterday and posted here.

I didn't have great expectations for the cd, so I had a better time than I expected. I've always thought of the Monkeys as a single band so to see that the debut album was somewhat consistent was a surprise.
I'm having fun with Ida Maria, although "Oh My God" and "I Love You Better..." is clearly the gems of the album. I'll need to spend more time with the album to find more songs that I can attach to. I find that her voice and attitude carry most of the album, the song writing is not the highlight of the album.

I actually prefer the second Arctic Monkeys album. I think the first is probably catchier, and I prefer the singles, but as an album the second is even more consistent and mature. I think both are pretty great though.

I just heard the White Album for the first time. I have to say that I like Rubber Soul more.

I love this song! Quite a bit different from their usual stuff. Kinda Kid A-esque. Idioteque meets National Anthem. Choobies, you shouldn't have cut off half way through. The later half is the best, in my opinion. The brass build up is awesome.

Don't worry, I'll get back to it. I usually give things a second listen, specially cause it's Block Party.

The Libertines (The band and the album) again.
Still better than pretty much anything else I heard in the last years.
