Don't get the hate... I think the song is pretty good and catchy. And I love the sound of her voice there. I must be weird :\.

I think it's actually a nice song but beyond her capabilities... her voice sounds strained and a bit jarring.

No bongo, the pimps should not even have bothered... and now they have a travesty of a song. I wonder if SR was even sober when she sang this...

Anyway.........
SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS - MIRROR BOY
On first and second listens I declare this the best song on 6.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Ohh....... Kind of sounds like she's singing a horn part actually. At least you could never call these vocals boring, and she'll upstage Jamie having previewed that track as well. It's a fun song.

It seems to take least 4 months from the moment a SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS album is released in Japan, before that album is released in the western world - if that album is even released outside of Japan at all. There's no announcement yet for if or when 6 will ever have releases in other continents.

If Sakuran reached a small handful of theatres throughout the world, as well as had a PAL DVD available at one point, then I wouldn't say that MY FOOLISH HEART is the first Shiina Ringo recording to be promoted in the west. People have also stated at least a year ago, that some of Shiina Ringo's songs have become available on western iTunes, though that doesn't really count because it's not introducing Shiina Ringo to anyone who has never heard her before.

If MY FOOLISH HEART breaks any kind of ground at all, it will be as the first CD track available in the west, with Shiina Ringo in it. And again, we don't even know if that's really going to happen, but.. I wouldn't bet against it.

I'd be very surprised if 6 didn't come out on CD in Europe. A more meticulous/longer-term fan than me might know more but Pimp Master onwards is out on CD in the UK (wiki), there are reviews on BBC Online and the national press, and as JR said, Stolen Moments has already been played by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 1.

Jamie Callum's a household name, and with (Papa's Got a Brand New) Pigbag a feature of their recent tour, it all looks like a bid to win more European recognition. That tune is almost universally familiar in the UK, DJ Paul Oakenfold had a hit most recently with it, and it's been adopted by football (soccer) fans. I'll stop paraphrasing things from wiki now.
