Ringo=tie between Meisai and Honnou. Ringo had balls to go lesbian in her video in Honnou but the Meisai video is just AWESOME. once upon a time it was Gibusu, a song which inspired me so much while in art school I owe it quite a bit. Several of the images from that outburst were licensed for use in publications and such and one in particular was picked as by the head of my school to be printed as the Graduating Class Exhibition main poster, which got me a sweet cash prize and awesome resume credentials. I might upload some of that stuff here if people are interested in seeing some of it.
Jihen=Kenka Joutou, the whole ambience and atmosphere of the caves is amazing. it suited the entire Adult theme amazing well, better than the other PV's from that era. Second place would have to go to Dynamite for just being sheer awesome wrapped in gold tinsel WIN. |

Ringo - Meisai/Yami ni Furu Ame
I never stopped watching either one of them. Absolute masterpieces. <3 Jihen - Himitsu Though there haven't really been any Jihen videos that have really wowed me. They're all pretty good but nothing spectacular. |

it wasn't inspired by the video, it was inspired by the song. I knew for that for that particular final I would have to set a slideshow to music (we were learning how to shoot color transparency for color theory), so I immediately started listening to music that I thought would work well. Gibbs pulled some really striking imagery out of my head so I immediately mapped it out and thought up a narrative to carry it through. I think when it was all said and done it was about 300 images, which were then digitally enchanced and edited down to 10 that told a similar version of the story and were part of my graduating portfolio, securing me honors in my minor (digital imaging), and portfolio honors. so I have Ringo's lovely music to thank for so much inspiration during that time of my life.
I have some Ringo artwork as well. I was doing multiple exposures so I was basically shooting 1 roll of film 3/4 times through very carefully and editing the length however I liked for the imagine. Part of that consisted of me photographing various still objects, then a full roll of nudes, and then various images such as tv, pornography, and yes, Ringo PV's (gibbs, yami ni furu ame, a few others as well) I will start a thread somewhere and post some of this stuff I think. you guys can take a look if your interested. |

Sigma. It's so random and crazy. The image of Shiina outside putting a light bulb in a lamp while standing on a toilet is forever burned into my mind.

SR: I owe the La Salle de Bain PV one for being the first SR thing I heard/saw. I love it when she dances too.
TJ: Koi wa Maboroshi (Get it up for Love). Honorable mention to whoever decided Hata's drum intro sounded like helicopter blades in Himitsu. |
