I still like OSCA about as much as the other two songs, if not a little bit more. I was listening to the two b-sides alone for about an hour, and when I played OSCA I was amazed at how energetic and just plain good it was. This is, indeed, a nice single.

OK, first listen, I like these two new songs. They are melodically rich, playful, and poppy in a good way, almost Beatlesesque, definitely British pop sounding. Squeeze, Elvis Costelloish, melody-wise. Nice work Izawa. And Ringo sounds wonderful.

I think this break she seems to finally be giving herself from dominating the writing will only strengthen her in the long run. She can focus on singing, being a member of a band, performing. It seems like a healthy and therapeutic turn for her.

Uhhhh, wow, these lyrics are weird for stuff not written by her. I know rhyming/wordplay probably took precedence over, oh, MAKING SENSE, but still...

I can't post them yet cause yeah... too weird, must ruminate in order to get best translation. kuro_neko, IM me sometime and we'll discuss this o_O

Pinocchio is a bit better; still kinda random though. And here I thought without her writing lyrics we'd get a break from the insanity...

well kaban no nakami, hahah, is in english, but I thought the Japanese lyrics were way cooler

pinochio was really cool from what I read through my first listen

I translated the SUPPOSED osca lyrics, which are somewhat off, correct in places, and I remember how bizarre a lot of them were, yeah.

And today in class we watched a news clip about some guys who robbed a pachinko parlor with a 刃物 and I was like HEYYYYY and it was on my dictation sheet as being a sharp-edged object, so that would make sense why hata would be swords then.
