I think Ringo should just turn herself into a one-woman Morning Musume and farm herself out (as different personae) to past and present iterations of Tokyo Jihen.

She'll reserve her own persona for duets with her brother, assorted blind guitarists, and Saito Neko.

Phase 3: They kick Shiina out and put Izawa on vocals/guitar.

(I'm on the fence on this one, guys =P )

Errrr.... right in this subforum. "Ringohan Updates" or something is the thread. And the translations are by me but I'm a little behind. She said more stuff about what the band decided in another one, which I haven't finished yet (and I actually have a legitimate reason as to why, because the most recent file with more translations is on my home computer which I can't access for another 2 weeks. Once I can, I should finish it up).

The summary was that they're going to stay together.

To reply to the original poster: The band also won't be called "Phase 3." Wtf? "Phase 2" only came about because of the new member lineup. Since the lineup will stay the same, "Phase 2" will also remain.

And er, I'm pretty sure Ringo's just finishing up all the Sakuran/HF promo work she had to do, and is maybe enjoying a nice rest. Are you really going to expect her to jump right back on that horse after months and months of intense work (whatever you think about the music, you can't deny she had an intense, high-stress process of making it)?

Be patient?

Yeah, you're right. After all, she did create 13 brand new tracks, and arranged it all herself.

Oh wait.

Regardless, I was just wondering if anyone knew what was up with Jihen, because I can't wait to hear some new music.

I did partially think phase did mean the member change, but I think the real meaning is a stylistic change in this context. "Phase" by definition means: 'A distinct stage of style or development' - so I am pretty sure it was meant to mean the "Adult" style.

Cheap shot at Ringo ?

Anyway, I also thought they wrote Phase because of the change in music because with the old members, they released Phase I. (unless they already knew that HZM and Hirama were leaving )

I still wonder if Phase referred to the band lineup or the new batch of songs.

I hope its referring to the music.

then we can say "eh, the Adult phase was kinda tame, but it was just a phase, now they're rocking hard again"

I'm all for kicking Shiina out. And everyone else. And just saving Ringo!

* and Kameda of course

Hmm, that's a good question about the 'phase' thing. I also thought it was referring to the member change, but now I don't know. @_@ Where was phase 1 mentioned, HEDOfloe?

Anyway, I admit that I'm also anticipating Tokyo Jihen's return but I understand that Ringo deserves a break. (She also created 20 new songs. ) I was hoping that she'd use some of those songs on Tokyo Jihen's new album, so that the release wouldn't take as long as starting from scratch. I know it'll take some time for Tokyo Jihen to arrange them, though. And, I wouldn't mind if "Mirrorball" was remade for the album.

That means, that HZM, Hirama, Hata and kameda will form tokyo jihen phase 4 at the same time they are dismissed (So pahse 3 and 4 will coexist). They just need someone new for vocals...
But instead of taking someone new, they lend Shiina Ringo from phase 3 who will then be in two bands, just like HZM. That would make the confusion PERFECT
That'd be the perfect example of "Sakuran." @_@

The Tokyo Incidents vol 1 says, Vol 1. implying more another volume. doesnt necessaraly say anything about phase, and I'm not sure if this came out after or during phase 1. So if they released it during phase 2, then it makes sense but if they released it when phase 1 was still together, maybe they were already anticipating phase 2.
