Does anyone else thing Shiina looks as spaced-out in Mellow as she is in OSCA? I wouldn't describe her as "dead, stiff, emotionless" in Mellow. Yes she moves slowly in the pv, as if the camera was overcranked (shot so play back is in slow motion.) OSCA is not shot like that. And Mellow isn't necessarily Shiina performing the song as OSCA is Jihen performing. If I'm supposed to believe someones actually performing a song, look like it. (Just because everyone knows how these are made doesn't mean you don't bother to suspend the audience's belief.)

ok so you'd rather me address the "Its supposed to be that way." ? They chose to make it that way. Yes, it was a decision they made. And it was the wrong decision.

I'm talking about the band's performing in OSCA. I have no problems at all with Mellow, I think its a great video. Even tho Shiina is slower/overcranked in Mellow I dont think shes dull, shes still conveying emotion.
You don't need to see the band ver of OSCA, you can see it in the regular PV Shiina is "what-am-i-doing-here" she is conveying nothing but that blank stare. And on no level is that in the benefit of the composition.

Phase 2 is too boring to warrant its own video.
Which is why they needed back-up dancers. Or Hata doing the Kabuki. Btw, where is this video from?

This video is from the Senkou Shoujo DVD - probably doomed to be the most overlooked or forgotten PV collection of all time.
