Didn't Hatsuiku Status have 3 (or 4?) bassists, 1 guitarist, and a drummer? I've never seen that formation before.

Three, yes, if I recall correctly. Which was silly since none of them, Ringo included, played anything remotely interesting.

I don't think I'd mind if Yuiichi Kodama left the band.

This is like any part time workers, they get bossed around a lot more than full timers. Ringo musta bossed the crap out of them behind the scenes, getting what SHE wanted, rather than Izawa.
