What do you think?
http://ringojihen.muxtape.com/

12 songs, 56:18 minutes
1 - Koufukuron
2 - Marunouchi Sadistic
3 - Kyogenshou
4 - Tsumi to Batsu
5 - Mellow
6 - Gips (Electric Mole)
7 - Meisai (Electric Mole)
8 - Kuki (Electric Mole)
9 - Odaiji ni (Electric Mole)
10 - Jusui Negai
11 - Superstar
12 - Yume no Ato (HF Version)

It's mostly spot on in terms of song choice, there's just a couple of songs that I would've swapped for something more conventional (mellow, Kyogenshou, superstar, Kuki).
I feel those songs are the ones that fans really dig only after getting in to the Shiina sound. They're songs that should be discovered, not introduced to.

However, do you have any sugestion for other tracks I should put? It's really hard to reduce her to 12 songs, lol.
I thought about putting Kabukichou no Joou at the beginning, but then thought Koufukuron and Marunouchi already represented the Moratorium-era very well.

I know all about the shock...tried introducing shiina before, and I feel that it's just better to have them discover the more..."personal" songs for themselves.

I really feel that Kabukichou should be in any Ringo introduction playlist, Kofukuron should go, it's a great little song, but it shouldn't come at the expense of omitting Kabukichou no Joou.

Superstar is a rather weird choice, not written by Ringo, a rather by-the-numbers ballad. With Yume no ato closing your playlist you might want something a bit lighter to come before. Shuraba perhaps.

There is one whole thread about creating a SR/TJ best of playlist.

Ah, thank you Shinji for not including any of that "phase 3" nonsense, though of course you can include it for maximum shock factor.
And WHY is Honnou not on that list?! You have no excuse... put Honnou back in there!

I will hunt you down and SHIV you dammit!

Honnou kicks ass! There can be no discussion on this issue. This is the one and only truth in the universe.

I'm semi-kidding. I don't actually own a shiv.

Bite me =P
And that reason is space limitations of DVD. She couldn't include everything from the show since she needed to pack in those lame animated sequences and backstage stuff. She brilliantly cut three of the best songs from the show (Honnou, Izonshou, and Kabukichou), sliced a decent song in half (Koufukuron), but left three bores (Minatomachi, Shiroi Hana no Saku Koko, Mr. Wonderful) on the disc. It's that kinda crap that keeps us talking about something.

Honnou is the definitive Ringo song. There's a reason it's her most popular song (and it's not because she licks a girl in the PV).

I disagree with Maou on saying those 3 songs should have been cut. Minatomachi is great. Shiroi Hana is cool cuz its the only acoustic track. And ..well I just like Mr. Wonderful =p Coulda cut Poltergeist or Odaji ni for Honnou.

And yes, Honnou is the track Shiina Ringo will be in the history books for. And theres no better track to introduce fans to Shiina than Honnou, it introduced more than any other song.

And Phase 3 is the truth Justin, dont try to deny!
juuuuust hatin...

You thinking of the right track? Shiroi Hana is a capella. Kuroi Orufe is the song with acoustic guitar.
