Here's a story about the "Circus" album, and an interview with Kuriyama at the Japan Times, which refers to Shiina as an "alt-pop queen."

http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-b...0110304r1.html

Kuriyama will be live at Tower Records, Shinjuku, tomorrow.

Thanks! That was kinda interesting to read!

BTW, I'm totally in love with Ketteiteki Sanpunkan... Not liking Oishii Kisetsu so much, tho.

Double post sorry

I just saw the video (for the first time) of the Ketteiki Sanpunkan song, and indeed it has a 3:00 countdown like Nodouteki Sanpunkan lives.

Sadly, I ended up buying Circus too, feels filthy having it in my house, but for 10 bucks (from ebay- the CD+DVD version) I'm not complaining

Considering the commerce platform and the price, I'll bet you bought a not-for-sale copy.

The photobook has high production values, but not very many pages.

I actually enjoy some of the songs on the album. Cold Finger Girl and Roulette ni Kuchizuke are great! (I like the SR-produced ones, too)

I'm actually surprised the album isn't better than it is because they really did get some top-notch producers/musicians from the Japanese rock scene to produce it.
