I know this is kind of old argument and generally generalization and stuff but Hamadas voice just sounds more aggressively, closer to 'western' standard, Ringo's using her voice in 'japanese style', sometimes to the 'extreme', that's why your argument about Ringo's trying to 'master pulp jazz' is just nonsense. One 'pulp video' doesn't set all her efforts onto this track.

How you keep on relating everything and every artist under the sun to 'Ringo sucks' sentiment is beyond me.
Hamada is all about cabaret stuff while Ringo merely dabbled in it, experimenting with plenty other genres. Expo '14 is cabaret-styled mainly visually, the music style sways in different directions.

Pretty much this. Ringo has nothing to be threatened by in regards to Hamada. If anything, they would probably be friends or acquaintances if they ever crossed paths and share a mutual respect.

Or, this is DG just stirring the pot again, since the boards are dead

Hamada

Anyway , regardless of my opinion, the new single is just undeniably goddamn cool.

And I've now listened to New Bermuda by Deafheaven.

Best metal album of the year, no competition.

Yeah, I've been meaning to stock up on some Hamada. Probably a good time to start looking.

DG, do you even listen to metal? I don't trust your opinion on this matter. Sunbather was also overhyped. Don't know why everyone jerked-off to that for so long.

The Hamada song is actually pretty cute! But I really cannot listen to her for long stretches. Especially with that voice and that kind of delivery. Had to listen to her last album in small batches of songs because it was just all too rich. Like eating too much chocolate.

At least I'm listening to things before making a judgement.

If you had, you'd know its nothing like Sunbather... In the slightest.

And yeah I do listen to metal but I'm damn picky about it.
