Has that ever been done before? It does sound interesting. In fact have ever heard ringo sing without music? I know I saw a video of YUKI singing with no music on a pier or something, she sounded awesome. So has shiina ever done the same? But back to your idea, I think it would be a great deal of new content that is always good. It would give shiina a chance to tell us half of the , lets say 17 songs, go together, so it is actually around 13 or 12 new songs. So 4 of the instrumentals go with 4 of the vocal tracks, but the rest of the tracks were created independently. I think that would cool.

I think it'd be fun to revive this thread and take a look again at our old predictions/hopes now that it is a reality. It is kind of cool that in starting this thread Jihad basically predicted correctly that it would be a 4th album for Ringo, not Jihen!

Let's get Jihad to predict the new album will be her best yet !

I enjoyed reading the backthread and I want dance-rock enka kabuki music with five guitars too! Personally I'm glad I wasn't around to endure Phase 1 (good, but SR's compositions seem forced to a simpler Dynamite-rock style *ducks*) -> Adult (good, but SR's compositions are made to sound too restrained and polite) -> Variety (not good and no SR compositions) otherwise I'd be very different to the lalala Pollyanna I am now. I might tolerate TJ as a production unit for Tomosaka Rie records (maybe) but that's it.

Here's some other early predictions/wishes that deserve acknowledgment:

They're saying it's 14 songs total, but they're also calling the 14th song a bonus.

That would be J.A.M.. There's nothing lame about how they'd blend with a vocalist. While we're still getting Karisome Otome (Death Jazz ver.), the additional SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS involvement we are getting isn't in that way.

It's almost like Shiina Ringo has been reading these boards.
Or members of the community truly have time machines.

Then you've got kuro_neko and I ragging on how the rie tomosaka best version of Mokuren no Cream is terrible, and me speculating on Shoujo Robot making some kind of a comeback. Then news gets out that the rie tomosaka best reissue has the normal version of Mokuren no Cream instead of the crap version, as well as the whole Shoujo Robot single as a bonus (not the way I expected it to manifest - but still, it's becoming actively published again).

It's obvious SR doesn't read us.
