WOW I just noticed that the style TJ wore in the OSCA video is not consistent with what it seemed to be in their latest picture. Now I can't enjoy the music!! @_@

4ail Hedo, thats not your style. Leave that kinda shit to posters like "Adrian."
And you also 4ail to explain how that quote makes any sense. By extension, your logic says "just cuz you like Osca doesnt mean you should say its great." How does that effing work? It doesnt

I generally liked her vocals in Gamble, especially around the 3:55-4:10 portion, and the verses. There were points though where it was way too grating, I agree.
Ringo said she was experimenting with different vocal styles with the next singles and album, so we'll see if things are different in the other songs when they come out. Definitely though, I think she meant to have that sound in OSCA. I mean, it's really the arrangement and the vocals that are the saving grace of the song. The melody is meh, but the production values and vocals make the song stand out. |

I think what he's trying to say is that just because somebody thinks the vocals are bad, doesn't make the vocals bad.

my opinion about osca:
SR looks so inexpressive there are so many panties scenes sometimes it remind me ZCS yattsuke shigoto (that line " ginzasen shuuden nanjiiii~ soshite mondai ja nai kaaaaaaaaaa~") BTW I totally imagine a yattsuke shigoto in its style (and tsumiki asobi too) for the next tour remind me of mirrorball too I have to say that I don't know if I'll like this new album better than Kyouiku, but indeed I'll like more than adult and HF

this reminds me of those classic Ringo Jihen threads. I feel at home in here. *ahh*
I think, OSCA sounds like an early period Red Hot Cheely Paypers song with singing indstead of pseudo-rapping over the funkydoodah. I'm not ready to poopoo this song just yet... Uki and Izawa's songwriting chops are going to be pushed into the spotlight for Phase 3, so I'll give it a chance. Last edited by ShadyNook : 2007.06.18 at 03:43 PM. |

I didn't even say anything that fucking bad about the song. Excuse me for not getting ape shit excited over a mediocre song. Why don't you single out Silverrime for saying basically the same damn thing I did?

Jihad's point is completely lost in all that argument. I shall rephrase it.
If you're new to Jihen and you hear OSCA, would you be intrigued to find out more about them? No. --- The opening of the song shows so much promise, and then the retro "dun tak tak dun dun tak" drums come in it's "sigh... it's not right."
