Mmmm... I gotcha... Whether this hurts me or not, I'd like to admit that I'm pretty tone-deaf. I don't know if you meant the term the same way, but I thought it'd be nice to share that random little tidbit. Last edited by fluffiethesock : 2008.01.02 at 05:56 PM. |

Oh don't be hurt. I'm just sharing a random little tidbit too. *shrugs*
Maou and a few other guys (including Tsuchiya I believe) did complain about Uki's tone before.

Yeah, t'is true.. I remember the tone speak. The only time it ever really bothered me was in Countdown's Gunjou Biyori. X|

Uki agrees with the haters about his tone and he just doesn't care! Check out what he says in Himitsu for DJ:

Yeah... he's really proving his point by calling his tone "bizarre" and "nasty." Always positive adjectives! XD

Well, I was just pointing that out because that is one thing that Maou always says that he doesn't like about Uki; that his tone is nasty and such. So, I found it interesting that he says it himself and is pretty proud about it. Since I like his playing so much, I'm glad that it's something he's sticking to even though it is "nasty". Maybe he gets criticisms from other guitarists or musicians he knows too. Has anyone read anything about this in an interview or something?

where is theblackshiina when you need her?
this thread is so white it hurts my eyes bizarre and nasty aren't always bad. calling his tone nasty or bizarre is just another way of saying that he is unique and funky, rocks his own style. he even says "hengenjizai" which means ever capable of changing styles. |

That's what I was trying to get at. That "nasty" and "bizarre" are what make him awesome even though some people use them as words to criticize him.
