Don't know if I'd go so far as to call it brilliant, but definitely good Saturday morning listening. Thanks Tesla (and justriiingo for making me more curious).

The randomish percussion in the second one reminds me a bit of After Dinner (but then again, I'm not familiar with that much Japanese music generally, so I have a limited number of points of comparison).

It looks Recommended Records (independent label) had some role to introduce Japanese (avant-pop) music in 80s to oversea.

I received a mail citing Semba/Haniwa thread that he came them via Wha-ha-ha.
